Targa and CP Dresden Successful at Dressage By The Sea

Alycia Targa and her mount CP Dresden recently competed at Dressage By The Sea, the only CDI4* event in the Southern Hemisphere. The event hosts two back-to-back CDIs over nine days.
“After a very stressful start of the competition—being held in the trot up due to Mr Des becoming extremely tense—the competition got better and better,” commented Alycia.
In their first Grand Prix test, the pair just went out to enjoy the ride and get familiar with the setting, resulting in 66.3% and fifth place. In the Grand Prix Special, Alycia said, “It felt a bit more of what I was aiming for and a 67.5%, with one judge giving me 70%! And we medalled!”
The highlight for Targa in the first competition was the Grand Prix CDI4*. The duo scored 72.9%, giving them a fourth place.
In the second competition, Alycia and Mr Des had a good routine and game plan sorted for the coming days. They scored 67.2% in the Grand Prix and 69% in the Grand Prix Special Canter Tour and Trot Tours, respectively. The last competition was the Kur (Grand Prix CDI4*), held on Saturday evening. Deciding to ride an old freestyle test that hadn’t been used in three years, Alycia was pleased with her result of 74.1% and fourth place behind Mary Hannah, who had a record score of 80.14%.
Alycia relies on B-Quiet®, Bio-Bloom® HF, EquiShure®, and Synovate HA® from KER Targeted Nutrition to keep her horses in top condition while competing.
