Kentucky Equine Research-sponsored eventer Liz Halliday-Sharp traveled to Elkton, Maryland, to compete with her upper-level horses at the Fair Hill International Horse Trials, held August 8-9.

Liz rode Cooley Quicksilver and Fernhill By Night in the Open Intermediate-A division. Liz and Cooley Quicksilver completed the only double-clear cross-country run to win the division, and Fernhill By Night finished third. Liz also won the Open Intermediate-B division, leading wire-to-wire with Deniro Z.

In the large and competitive CCI***-S division, Liz and Flash Cooley jumped up the leaderboard after each phase. A clean trip around the cross-country course left Liz and Flash Cooley with just two time penalties, moving them up from fourteenth to sixth. The pair remained cool under pressure to jump a double-clear round in show jumping to move up one more place to finish fifth.

Liz relies on EquiShure from KER Targeted Nutrition. “Our upper-level horses are working really hard and we’ve had to up their feed. In order to supplement that, we need to make sure we keep their gut working the right way, as giving a lot of concentrated feed can be a bit hard on them. I think EquiShure has really helped to keep the horses feeling their best,” she said. Liz also uses Bio-Bloom™ PSEO-3™Nano-Q10™Restore® SRRiteTrac®, and Synovate HA® to give her horses targeted nutritional support for optimal performance.
