Liz Halliday-Sharp Named USEA Rider of the Year, First Woman to Win Since 1981

Kentucky Equine Research is proud to congratulate sponsored rider Liz Halliday-Sharp on winning the 2020 United States Eventing Association (USEA) Rider of the Year. Liz had a phenomenal competition year, claiming victory in nine CCI events and 16 national events, and finishing in the top five 67 times.
Building such a remarkable record made for a busy year. Liz traveled across the country to 22 events with her string of 13 horses. This was also the first year that Liz did not travel to Europe for the summer show season, instead choosing Lexington, Kentucky, as her summer base. “Quite often I’ve done well in the winter and then left [for the U.K.], so I’ve never really been up there on the leaderboard,” she told the USEA. “It was fun to have our first year back go right. We’ve got a lot of great horses in the barn, and I’ve got an awesome team and a great group of owners. It’s nice for all of them too that we’ve come out on top after a really good season.”
Liz in only the sixth woman to earn the Rider of the Year title since the award started in 1960. The last to win was Karen Stives in 1981. Liz was also recently the only woman named to the 2021 USEF Eventing High Performance Elite Training List.
Liz relies on Bio-Bloom™ PS, EO-3™, EquiShure®, Nano-Q10™, Restore® SR, RiteTrac®, and Synovate HA® to give her horses targeted nutritional support for optimal performance. “KER Targeted Nutrition products are a huge part of our feeding regimen,” she said. “The products never let me or the horses down! Their supplements make an immediate difference and the science behind them is incredible. It is important to work with a company that cares just as much about their products as I do about my horses. I have been using them for years and cannot recommend them enough.”
