Equitana 2022: Sponsored Riders Compete and Succeed

In celebration of the “Spirit of the Australian Equestrian” theme, the Mane Event at Equitana featured many competitions, and several Kentucky Equine Research connections competed successfully.
In the Open class of the Reining Masters, Lana Kelderman and Nu Too Much claimed victory. Kelderman is a young talented horsewoman from Victoria. In addition to reining, she campaigns horses in other high-level western performance events. She uses these products from Kentucky Equine Research: Equi-Jewel, EO-3, Nano-E, Restore, and Synovate HA.
In the Sport Horse Racing Championships, Matt Burns and The Enforcer claimed the top prize. In this competition, horses race side by side in successive heats until a winner emerges. This team has won the top honor the last four years in which the event was held. In the Barrel Racing event, two Kentucky Equine Research-sponsored riders finished inside the top 20, with Matt Burns and The Enforcer blazing to 17th place and Jackie Burns and Gold Rush to 20th. The Burns use Equi-Jewel, Restore, Synovate HA, and Nano-Q10.
In the Goodbye Flyes FEI Dressage World Cup Grand Prix, Mary Nitschke and Utopian Cardinal claimed third place. “I am so pleased with how Cardinal went. He can get worked up in a big environment, but he stayed focused for our first open Grand Prix.” The pair finished fifth in the Freestyle.
To support her horses’ athletic endeavors, Mary uses Neigh-Lox, EquiShure, B-Quiet, and Bio-Bloom HF. “I can really notice a difference in the horses since using these products,” she said.
In the Off Track Express Eventing competition, horse and rider combinations jumped a course of showjumping and cross-country fences, with a jumpoff staged for those with clear rounds. Samantha Cesnik of Spring Creek Equine and Graftango competed. Spring Creek uses Equi-Jewel, Neigh-Lox, and Triacton from KER Targeted Nutrition. Lily Wickenden EA Berlin also took part in the competition. Lily uses Equi-Jewel, Drink-Up, Restore, and B-Quiet.
Some of the best jumpers from Australia competed for top honors at Equitana. In the Grand Prix, Brook Dobbin and Gina MVNZ earned a second-place finish. Brook relies on Bio-Bloom, B-Quiet, Drink-Up, Glucos-A-Flex, Neigh-Lox, Restore, and KER Equi-Jewel to ensure his horses are getting the nutrition they require to perform at the top.
“Drink-Up is great while travelling to shows and during the competition. It really encourages our horses to drink, and they actually go looking for their water when we are away at competitions,” Brook explained.
The Stock Horse Challenge is an incredible test of the breed’s agility, versatility, and trainability. David Nash, Kentucky Equine Research’s director of technology, competed with a homebred stallion Hardal Uno Luna, finishing fourth in Stock Horse Hack, third in Stock Horse Working, third in Time Trial, and second in Overall Teams. David uses All-Phase, EO-3, and Synovate HA to give his horses a competitive edge.
