Dom Schramm and Bolytair B Take on the Bromont CCI-S Horse Trials

Dom Schramm of Schramm Equestrian enjoyed a successful weekend with both Bolytair B and Loughtown Bonnie running at the Bromont CCI-S Horse Trials held August 13-15, 2021. Because Canada opened its land borders to fully vaccinated U.S. citizens and permanent residents for nonessential travel in early August, Dom headed north with his horses to compete at the event.
Dom piloted Bolytair B through the challenging CCI4* track created by Derek di Grazia, the course designer for the Tokyo Olympic Games, and built by Canadian course builder Jay Hambly and his team. Dom and Boly finished in second place with a dressage score of 31.0, a clear stadium round, and only a few time penalties on the cross-country course. Dom commented on the weekend’s success on his Facebook page, “Boly was a little wild today, but jumped around and was second in the CCI4*. Fingers crossed we get to go across the pond for the next one!”
Dom also rode the 2015 Irish Sport Horse mare, Loughtown Bonnie, to a fourth-place finish in her second Training level event.
Dom and Jimmie of Schramm Equestrian both use diets formulated by the experts at Kentucky Equine Research to provide high-quality nutrition for the horses in their program. They count on Bio-Bloom™ PS, Micro-Max™, Nano-E®, Restore® SR, Synovate HA® and Legends® Feeds, which are fortified with KER Micronutrients, to fulfill the needs of their horses’ diets.
“We’ve seen a better result from Bio-Bloom PS than anything else we’ve ever tried. We go south to Florida for the winter, and a lot of horses will get fungus or hives, but our horses just don’t get it,” said Jimmie. “Their coats grow back in beautifully from winter to summer.”
Meanwhile in the West, sponsored rider Dona Kay Rule and her horse High Valor continue to clean up at barrel racing competitions. In Idaho Falls, Idaho, at the War Bonnet Round Up, Dona Kay and Valor won first place with a time of 16.98 seconds. Then, at the Jerome County Fair and Rodeo in Jerome, Idaho, they ran 17.14 seconds to take third place. Dona Kay trusts Nano-Q10™ from KER Targeted Nutrition to keep Valor feeling his best on the road. She also uses Race Recovery™ electrolytes to help Valor recover after a hard run.
