Chester Weber Wins 18th USEF Advanced Four-in-Hand National Championship

Kentucky Equine Research-sponsored driver Chester Weber packed up his team, including five horses and two carriages, and traveled from his farm in Ocala, Florida, to the Horse Park of New Jersey to defend his title at the USEF Advanced Four-in-Hand National Championships. The National Championships were held at the Garden State Combined Driving Event from October 7-10, 2021.
An impressive 37.67 score in the dressage phase put Weber and his team of geldings, Amadeus, First Edition, Ideaal, Julius V, and Reno, in the lead from the start. They then completed the marathon phase with the fastest time, and despite having been bested in the cones phase by reserve champion, James Fairclough, finished with the top score of 145.47 to take home his 18th USEF Advanced Four-in-Hand National Championship title.
Weber’s next competition will be the Live Oak International held in Ocala, Florida, next March, followed by a goal to compete for the 2022 FEI Four-in-Hand World Championship in Italy in September.
Weber chooses Restore® SR to ensure his horses meet their electrolyte requirements and All-Phase® to meet other nutrient needs without excess energy. “Having a team member like KER on your side is really invaluable because it takes away the worry of staying on top of the latest in equine nutrition,” explained Weber. “I trust the experts at Kentucky Equine Research.”
