Kentucky Equine Research-sponsored eventer Buck Davidson competed five horses at the Plantation Field International Horse Trials held September 16-19, 2021. He rode Cooley Candyman, Errol Gobey, and Sorocaima in the CCI4*-S, and competed in the CCI3*-S with Invito and Cerafino D.

Buck earned second place in the CCI4* aboard the 2010 Holsteiner gelding, Errol Gobey. After an impressive dressage score of 28.6, a clear stadium round, and only 2 seconds over the optimum time in the cross-country phase, the team finished on a score of 29.4. Buck also saw success in the CCI3*-S aboard Invito, a 2013 Warmblood mare. The pair moved from the eighth-place position after dressage and stadium jumping to finish in sixth place following cross-country.

Buck depends on KER Sport Horse Nutrition feeds to supply nutrition that ensures his horses perform their best. “KER has always been the authority on feeding high-performance sport horses,” Buck said. “I’ve always relied on KER-formulated feeds.”

In Tulare, California, at the 2021 NBHA California Classic Super Show and California State Finals, sponsored barrel racer Alex Simpson and her two mares, Cruisin For The Cash and Cashy Dash Down, also had a successful weekend. Cruisin For The Cash ended up second in the 1D for the NBHA California State Finals Average and ended the weekend in third place in the Super Show Average. Cashy Dash Down took fourth place in the 2D Super Show Average. Alex shared on her Facebook page, “Together the mares brought home around $1,700, a set of beautiful stirrups, and a new halter, and we are sitting pretty in the WRWC standings.”

Alex uses Nano-E® and Total Wellness™ from KER Targeted Nutrition to keep her horses comfortable and sound for competition. Alex explains, “Nano-E, by Kentucky Equine Research, has made a world of difference for my mare’s overall health and performance. She went from super irritable (I had the chiropractor on speed dial!) to calm and confident in the warm-up pen, and she’s consistent in her runs. Now I can stretch out her chiro appointments and not feel like she won’t perform because she is muscle sore.”
