Conference 2024
Kentucky Equine Research hosted its 27th Equine Health and Nutrition Conference on February 5-6, 2024, at the Golden Ocala Golf and Equestrian Club in Ocala, Florida. The two-day scientific symposium attracted over 200 delegates from six continents. The conference featured 16 scientific presentations that covered many important topics, including respiratory and cardiovascular physiology, muscle disorders and their genetic basis, management of glandular gastric ulcers, thermoregulation, and exercise conditioning.

This program was approved for RACE approval for 12.5 hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions that recognize RACE approval. In addition, conference sessions were approved for ARPAS CEU credits. A Horseman’s Seminar was held on the evening of Monday, February 5. Intended for riders and trainers in all disciplines, this seminar, titled Fitness and Conditioning in Sport Horses: Applying the Science, featured three important but different perspectives on preparing sport horses for competition.
