Held at Willinga Park, Dressage By The Sea is a must-attend event for many of Australia’s dressage riders. Featuring the World Cup League Final and other championships, the competition draws riders from all over the continent, including several with connections to Kentucky Equine Research.

Liza Carver rode Destino Del Lago to a reserve finish in the Medium Championship. “Dressage By The Sea was only Teo’s second outing at medium, and I am so impressed with how he performed. I am looking forward to an exciting future with him,” said Liza, a Kentucky Equine Research-sponsored rider.

Another sponsored rider, Alycia Targa, competed Zoolander TPH in both the Young Horse 6 and Under and Elementary classes, with high placings in both. Alycia relies on B-Quiet, Bio-Bloom HF, EquiShure, and Synovate HA from KER Targeted Nutrition to keep her horses in top condition while competing.

Mary Nitschke rode two horses at the show, Utopian Cardinal and Astronomical. Astronomical earned top-20 placings in the Prix St. George and the Intermediate I Freestyle. “As a relatively new partnership, we are still finding our way,” Mary explained. “I am so pleased with our progress thus far.”

Mary and Utopian Cardinal have been partnered for the last five years in U25 CDI classes. At Dressage By The Sea, the pair earned three top-five finishes, including a fifth place in the CDI U25 Intermediate II, a third place in the CDI U25 Prix St. George, and a third place in the CDI U25 Grand Prix Freestyle.

To support her horses’ athletic endeavors, Mary uses Neigh-Lox, EquiShure, B-Quiet, and Bio-Bloom HF. “I can really notice a difference in the horses since using these products,” she said.
