Weber Scores a Top-Ten Finish at the FEI Driving World Championships

Kentucky Equine Research-sponsored driver Chester Weber finished in eighth place overall at the 2022 FEI Driving World Championships for Four-in-Hands at Centro Equestre Federale, Pratoni del Vivaro, Italy. Thirty-six teams completed the competition.
Weber and his team started the competition strong, with a third-place finish in the dressage phase behind eventual winner Boyd Exell of Australia and Mareike Harm of Germany. A strong ninth place in the marathon phase kept the team in the running for a top placing. In the cones phase, Weber and his team placed seventeenth, which cumulatively resulted in the eighth-place finish.
Five horses took part in the competition: Amadeus, Boris W, First Edition, Gouveneur, and Julius V, all of which are KWPN geldings.
In a press release from US Equestrian, chef d’equipe Marice Quist praised Weber’s performance, “Chester is a professional competitor, and his team is very experienced and hardworking.”
Weber chooses Restore® SR to ensure his horses meet their electrolyte requirements and All-Phase® to meet other nutrient needs without excess energy. “Having a team member like Kentucky Equine Research on your side is really invaluable because it takes away the worry of staying on top of the latest in equine nutrition,” explained Weber. “I trust the experts at Kentucky Equine Research.”
