Kentucky Equine Research-sponsored four-in-hand driver Chester Weber finished in sixth place at the World Equestrian Festival, CHIO Aachen, held June 30-July 3.

Weber started the competition strong, sitting in fourth place after the dressage phase by earning a score of 39.19. He and his team ended the second day of competition, the marathon, in the middle of the pack, in eleventh place. The team rallied on the third day with a sixth-place finish in the cones phase, culminating in a sixth-place finish overall.

The five horses that helped Weber with this accomplishment were Amadeus, Boris W, Gouvernor, Julius V, and Kadora.

Twenty-two teams representing 10 countries started the competition, though Weber was the only competitor from North America. All other teams hailed from Europe. Twenty of the 22 teams completed all three days of the competition.

In an enthusiastic Facebook post, Weber said, “Aachen 2022 in the books! Thank you to my entire team and sponsors for making weeks like this possible. [I’m] counting the days till we are able to compete in front of the incredible crowd at this historic venue again!”

Weber chooses Restore® SR to ensure his horses meet their electrolyte requirements and All-Phase® to meet other nutrient needs without excess energy. “Having a team member like Kentucky Equine Research on your side is really invaluable because it takes away the worry of staying on top of the latest in equine nutrition,” explained Weber. “I trust the experts at Kentucky Equine Research.”
