Kentucky Equine Research-sponsored rider Buck Davidson and his mount Carlevo topped the Advanced division at the Ocala Winter II Horse Trials, held March 17-20 in Ocala, Florida.

In a field of 31 starters, Buck and Carlevo earned a score of 26.4 in dressage, placing him fourth going into stadium. The pair incurred no jumping or time penalties in stadium and moved up two places heading into the cross-country phase. Jumping clean with time penalties of only 1.2, Buck and Carlevo finished with a score of 27.6, more than six points ahead of the second-place finisher.

Buck and another mount, Erroll Gobey, climbed their way from a seventeenth place in dressage to finish the competition in the top ten, earning a purple ribbon for seventh.

According to Buck, “Kentucky Equine Research has always been the authority on feeding high-performance sport horses. I’ve always relied on KER-formulated feeds.”
