Barrel Racer Dona Kay Rule Fifth in the World Standings

Top barrel racers went head-to-head in 10 rounds of competition at the 2021 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (NFR) in Las Vegas, Nevada, held December 2-11

Kentucky Equine Research-sponsored barrel racer, Dona Kay Rule and her gelding, High Valor, had several impressive runs throughout the competition. With one round per day, the NFR is a test of both horse and rider fitness, stamina, and mental resolve, as much as it is a test of skill and technique in running barrels.

Dona Kay and Valor won both the second and tenth rounds and placed in the top 10 in four other rounds. Overall, the team took sixth place in the average and finished fifth in the world standings.
