The United States Eventing Association (USEA) American Eventing Championships was held at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky, last week. Kentucky Equine Research-sponsored eventer Buck Davidson competed in the $60,000 Adequan® USEA Advanced Final with 16-year-old Thoroughbred gelding Jak My Style, owned by Kathleen Cuca, as well as Carlevo LLC’s Carlevo, a 14-year-old Holsteiner gelding.

While Carlevo’s dressage score had the pair placed third going into cross-country, time faults on course and a rail in show jumping dropped them to a fifth-place finish. Buck had better luck aboard Jak My Style, moving up from seventeenth place after dressage to finish fourth.

Buck relies on KER Targeted Nutrition feeds to ensure his horses perform at the highest level. “KER has always been the authority on feeding high-performance sport horses,” Buck said. “I’ve always relied on KER-formulated feeds.”

Meanwhile, on the West Coast, Kentucky Equine Research-sponsored barrel racer Dona Kay Rule and her horse, High Valor, have been powering through their season. Over the last weekend in August, Dona Kay and Valor earned first place with a run of 16.92 seconds at the Kitsap Stampede in Bremerton, Washington. They also took eighth at the Horse Heaven Round-Up held in Kennewick, Washington.

Dona Kay relies on Nano-Q10™ and Race Recovery™ from KER Targeted Nutrition to keep Valor feeling his best during the season. “Valor gives me everything on the pattern. To ensure I’m doing my best for him, I rely on supplements developed and proven by Kentucky Equine Research,” Dona Kay shared.
