You can’t keep a good woman down. The old adage could easily be talking about Dona Kay Rule’s recent trip across the American West. Truck troubles nearly had Dona Kay and her horse High Valor grounded at the height of rodeo season. Not to be deterred, Dona Kay and Valor hitched a ride with fellow barrel racers on the circuit while her rig was returned to working order.

Valor, an experienced traveler and two-time AQHA/WPRA Barrel Racing Horse of the Year, took the change of plans in stride and got right down to business at the Livingston Roundup in Livingston, Montana, earning third place in the Pro Rodeo Tour Barrels division. The pair followed up that run with a blazing fast trip around the Granny May Arena at the Rooftop Rodeo in Estes Park, Colorado, finishing just 0.02 seconds behind the winner in the Open Barrels.

Dona Kay relies on Nano-Q10™  from KER Targeted Nutrition to keep Valor feeling his best while on the road. “High Valor was pretty thin and drawn up at the end of 2019, so my vet recommended that I try Nano-Q10,” she said. “As we closed in on the end of 2020, he looked and felt good. His muscle recovery was good, and he didn’t have the muscle soreness he did the previous year.” She also uses Race Recovery™  electrolytes to help Valor recover from strenuous work.
