Eventer Buck Davidson Starts the Year with a Bang

Kentucky Equine Research-sponsored eventer Buck Davidson was a busy man, riding seven horses and topping both Open Intermediate divisions at the Rocking Horse Winter I Horse Trial in Altoona, Florida.

In the Open Intermediate A division, Buck piloted Erroll Gobey steadily up the leaderboard from fourth place after dressage, to third after show jumping, and finishing up with the fastest cross-country trip in the Intermediate to get the blue ribbon. He also placed third in Open Intermediate A with Sorocaima.

Not to be outdone, stablemates Carlevo and Victor B Z teamed up for a one-two finish in Open Intermediate B. Carlevo led the division wire-to-wire with Victor B Z hot on his heels all weekend.

Buck also finished sixth in the Open Preliminary A with Cerafino D, fourth in Open Preliminary B with DHI Showman, and eighth in Preliminary Horse with Bethel Wildcat.
