A Nail-Biting Finish for Sponsored Eventers at Tryon International CCI4*-L

Kentucky Equine Research-sponsored eventers Liz Halliday-Sharp and Buck Davidson had a thrilling weekend at the Mars Tryon International Three-Day Event. In a large CCI4*-L class, Liz’s fate rested on the very last stadium fence, while Buck jumped up the leaderboard an impressive twenty-two places.
For Liz, it was a weekend of triumph and disappointment, winning the CCI2*-L with Cooley HHS Calmaria, but hitting the final rail in stadium to drop out of the top spot in the CCI4*-L with Deniro Z. “Tryon International was not without its ups and downs, but we have come away with two happy horses that have made me proud all week! My horses and I have learned a lot this week and will only come back stronger for the experience,” Liz said in a Facebook post after the event.
“I am still thrilled with Deniro Z, as he was outstanding all weekend and just keeps getting better,” she continued. “I am also so happy with Cooley HHS Calmaria who won her first CCI2*-L! We have only been together a short time, but our partnership is growing, and she is an exciting talent for the future!”
Liz relies on Bio-Bloom™ PS, EO-3™, EquiShure®, Nano-Q10™, Restore® SR, RiteTrac®, and Synovate HA® to give her horses targeted nutritional support for optimal performance. “KER Targeted Nutrition products are a huge part of our feeding regimen,” she said. “The products never let me or the horses down! Their supplements make an immediate difference and the science behind them is incredible. It is important to work with a company that cares just as much about their products as I do about my horses. I have been using them for years and cannot recommend them enough.”
Buck Davidson also finished in the top ten of the large CCI4*-L division with Carlevo. His other ride for the weekend, Erroll Gobey, made an impressive jump up the rankings to finish just outside the top ten, moving from 35th after dressage to thirteenth after stadium.
Buck relies on KER Sport Horse Nutrition feeds to ensure his horses perform their best. “KER has always been the authority on feeding high-performance sport horses,” Buck said. “I’ve always relied on KER-formulated feeds.”
