Equine asthma affects horses of all ages, breeds, and disciplines, causing chronic coughing, excess mucus production, and poor performance.

To help identify risk factors associated with equine asthma, University of Adelaide Equine Health and Performance Centre is currently looking for horse owners to complete a short survey. Results from the survey will help identify relevant strategies to prevent the disease and introduce advanced management techniques for affected horses.

All horse owners may complete the survey whether their horses have been diagnosed with, or show symptoms of, equine asthma. Information provided will be treated confidentially, and survey respondents may choose to remain anonymous or provide contact details to be entered into a prize draw. The survey will take 10-15 minutes to complete.

Kentucky Equine Research and Barastoc Horse Feeds are proud to support the University of Adelaide Equine Health and Performance Centre in collecting this critical information to help improve the health and welfare of horses in Australia. To thank owners for their time, respondents will be invited to enter a prize draw to win a Kentucky Equine Research voucher or a bag of feed from Barastoc Horse Feeds.

Complete the survey at https://is.gd/EAsurvey.
