Kentucky Equine Research-sponsored eventer Liz Halliday-Sharp was on fire at the Ocala Winter 2 Horse Trial, winning the Advanced Combined Test, Advanced/Intermediate, Intermediate Horse, and Open Training divisions.

Liz kicked off the competition with her longtime partner Fernhill By Night in the Advanced Combined Test. The pair took an early lead after dressage and, with only one rail down in show-jumping, maintained the lead for the win.

Stablemates Cooley Quicksilver and Cooley Moonshine jockeyed for position in the Advanced/Intermediate. Cooley Moonshine took the lead after dressage, but time penalties on cross-country dropped him to second place behind Cooley Quicksilver.

In the Intermediate Horse division, Liz piloted Cooley Stormwater around both show-jumping and cross-country with no jumping faults to move from third to first. Liz also took the top spot in the Open Training with Shanroe Cooley.

Liz relies on Synovate HA® to support joint health. “My older horses have never gone better. Synovate HA smells great, and the horses seem to really enjoy it. It’s very palatable. You know if you put Synovate in their feed, they are going to eat it!” she said. Liz also uses Bio-Bloom™ PSEO-3™EquiShure®Nano-Q10™Restore® SR, and RiteTrac® to give her horses targeted nutritional support for optimal performance.

Buck Davidson, a fellow Kentucky Equine Research-sponsored eventer, also had a successful weekend at Ocala Winter 2, winning the Open Intermediate Jackpot with Copper Beach. He also finished fourth in the same division with Victor B Z.

Buck relies on KER Sport Horse Nutrition feeds to supply nutrition that ensures his horses perform their best. “KER has always been the authority on feeding high-performance sport horses,” Buck said. “I’ve always relied on KER-formulated feeds.”
