Research
Kentucky Equine Research is one of the most prolific private equine nutrition and exercise physiology research organizations in the world. The quantity of published research derived from studies conducted at the research farm rivals that of leading universities. Technical staff also collaborate with prominent universities to develop and patent products and diagnostic techniques that target specific problems in both growing horses and performance horses.
The company shares the latest findings in equine nutrition research with scientists and horse owners throughout the world. Its nutritionists and staff veterinarians are routinely invited to speak at international nutrition and veterinary conferences. Because of these research efforts, Kentucky Equine Research is an industry leader in equine nutrition and exercise physiology worldwide.

Kentucky Equine Research’s picturesque 150-acre research farm is located in the heart of Kentucky’s Thoroughbred region. The farm offers a high-speed treadmill, six-horse walker, laboratory, and other equipment enabling staff to carry out a variety of research protocols.
